Thuraya is a Canadian contemporary artist who works primarily in oil on canvas. With a lifelong passion for art, she studied art and art history throughout her schooling and developed a strong foundation in visual expression. After a long break from painting, Thuraya returned to her practice with renewed focus, exploring themes of emotion, memory, and the human experience. Her work spans oils, acrylics, and charcoal, each medium allowing her to capture ideas and stories with depth and sensitivity. She currently creates from her home studio, producing expressive, narrative-driven pieces that reflect moments from life and inner worlds.

I’m so honored to be part of the "Women’s Voices" exhibition this March! 🎨✨ This show celebrates International Women’s Day by highlighting the diverse perspectives of women artists from across Canada.

I’ll be part of Show 1, and I’d love for you to come by the opening reception on Saturday, March 7th (1–4 pm) at the Dignam Gallery in Toronto.
